PRSI

Eligible patients are entitled to one free examination every 12 months.

Eligible patients are entitled to one reduced cleaning per year. The cost payable by the patient is €15 for a routine scale and polish.

Medical Card

Full medical card holders are entitled to one free examination every 12 months. Treatment options are now limited to emergency treatment only, including simple extractions and 2 emergency fillings per year. Your dentist will be happy to discuss the range of treatment available.

Tax Relief

Tax relief of 20% is available on the cost of crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, root canal treatment, all orthodontics, periodontal root planing sessions (deep cleanings with hygienist under local anaesthetic) and surgical extractions. We will be happy to provide you with the necessary Med 2 forms and the receipts required.

Treatment Plans

All patients are seen for an initial examination to determine their treatment needs. Fees for treatments are discussed as part of the examination visit. Once a course of treatment is agreed between the dentist and patient, a quotation is provided along with a treatment plan, a copy of which is available to patients.

Payment

Fees are due at the time of treatment. We do not offer credit. We accept cash, credit card, debit card and cheques. A deposit may be required for treatments which involve lab work to cover lab fees and materials.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that on occasion cancellations are unavoidable. We ask that every effort is made to give 24 hours notice for cancellation if you cannot attend your appointment, so that it may be offered to another patient. Cancellations may be made by phone or email 24hours per day. Any cancellation made more than 24 hours prior to an appointment will not be subject to a charge. All cancellations within 24hours of an appointment may be subject to a minimum charge of €30.

Missed Appoinments

Failure to attend an appointment may incur a charge for loss of clinical time. These charges are dependant on the length of the failed appointment. These charges must be paid before any further appointments are made. In cases where a patient misses more than one appointment or misses their first appointment at the practice no further appointments will be offered.

Attendance policy

It is very important to keep up with regular dental visits.

If a patient does not attend an appointment in the practice for a period of 3 years or more their registration will lapse.

This means that the patient will not be able to make any further appointments.
